The Surviving Sibling explores the journey of two sisters inspired by the younger of the two sisters, Angela. Angela was diagnosed and passed away with brain cancer over forty years ago. Angela became one of my greatest teachers and informed my journey as a surviving sibling that continues to this day.
Fast forward forty years and Angela’s memory, inspiration, wisdom and determination are still with me. This has shaped me as a surviving sibling and driven me in the writing of this book, and my awareness and appreciation of this journey called ‘life’.
Author Biography
My sister, Angela’s journey encouraged me to think about what I wanted to do with my life and how I could make a difference. This led to the writing of ‘The Surviving Sibling’ and working in Community Services and Massage Therapy, most notably, Community Development, Youth Work, Remedial/Relaxation Therapy and most recently Oncology Massage.
