“Yim Plhis, Yim Hais, Yim Kawm,” is a collection of 11 poems written in both English and Hmong. Several of the Hmong poems focus on Hmong history and culture, showcasing various forms following the traditional paj huam style, rhyming style, and freestyle. The author hopes this book will inspire youth to create Hmong poems and preserve their heritage. While the Hmong poems highlight culture and history, the English poems primarily focus on social justice issues.
