In the wake of the release of its ‘call the police’/ ‘american dream’ single and Saturday Night Live performance of those songs in May, LCD Soundsystem have now confirmed details of its long awaited fourth album.
“american dream” is the 4th album from LCD Soundsystem and comes off the back of them recently being in Australia for Splendour In The Grass and sold-out side shows in Sydney and Melbourne, which received rave reveiws. Their extensive world tour continues with an August 26 appearance at the Hellow Festival in 17 Monterrey, Mexico, followed by a UK/Europe run beginning September 8 in Copenhagen. The North American leg will kick off October 17 at The Anthem in Washington DC.
The band, headed by James Murphy who is also the co-founder of their label DFA Records, announced their reunion following a 5 year hiatus last year with a performance at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival in California.
