Author Biography
DEBE GUNN loves creating beautiful music for the world, while capturing the world’s beautiful faces with her camera! Her journey began as an internationally touring saxophonist and keyboardist-preparing for her true calling: Songwriter! For LA/Hong Kong Records, she wrote and produced songs for China, then produced English and Spanish Pop, Urban, Latin and Country. She is also the librettist, lyricist and composer for the musical “Nightbloom.” DEBE’s “Jazzscapes,” Winner of the 2013 LA Music Critics Award in Jazz, garnered critical acclaim in the prestigious categories of instrumental composition and arrangement for the 57th Grammys. A voting member of the Recording Academy, she plans a spectacular follow-up to Jazzscapes, including an all-Spanish album. The experience of having lived in Japan, Okinawa and Guatemala, in addition to traveling to more than fifty countries, provided inspiration for DEBE’s metamorphosis into an international photographer and author. Beautiful Faces, published by Bush Publishing, is the premiere jewel of two books created for her LIFEILOVEU series. A third, Beautiful Music, is currently in development.
