Dr Mark Altree is asked to review the Police file concerning the murder of the Queensland Premier, Gordon Palmer because the detectives have been unable to identify a suspect. With his problem solving talents on the line Altree begins his investigation only to be faced with the same dilemma as the Police: a lack of eyewitnesses, CCTV images and evidence. The only clues are the two bullets and casings from the murder weapon, but tracking the owner of the pistol becomes complicated.
