It picks up from No. 1 taking the story into an other-worldly dimension. While Hal’s physical body fights for survival on Earth, his Captain Cannabis out-of-body fights his innermost demons in a struggle to unlock the mystery of his mission.
The Angel sci-fi action/adventure returns in six previously unpublished vintage pages with Verne Andru on story and pencils and George Freeman on inks. Angel finds her fortunes go from bad to worse after crash landing on an uncharted planet.
Author Biography
An award-winning designer, Verne is best known for his illustration, animation and directing work with some of the best including Captain Canuck, Universal, Ikea and Nelvana’s animated cult-classic “Rock & Rule.” In addition to teaching at the prestigious Vancouver Film School, he created the “Simply Accounting” name, designed Pigtronix’s flagship musical effects pedal and launched both into successful brands. He subsequently worked on several superhero comics, such as DC Comics’ Green Lantern and Aquaman, and Marvel Comics’ Jack of Hearts, and The Avengers. He drew a story in Batman Annual #11, written by Alan Moore and co-founded Digital Chameleon where he continues creating art for a range of projects.
