Corgi: Best of British: New Bus (London) – Diecast Model
The New Routemaster, originally referred to as the New Bus for London, is a hybrid diesel-electric double-decker bus operated in London. Designed by Heatherwick Studio, it is manufactured by Wrightbus, and is notable for featuring a “hop-on hop-off” rear open platform similar to the design of the famous original ‘AEC Routemaster’ bus, but updated to meet requirements for modern buses to be fully accessible. The first bus entered service on 27 February 2012.
The Corgi Best of British collection is a series of quality die-cast souvenir British vehicles. Corgi has been producing toys and models since 1956 and this range includes some of the most iconic British vehicles from the last half-century including the Routemaster Bus, Black Taxi and the Classsic Mini. This range of vehicles is available in their authentic colours as seen on the roads of Britain – making them an ideal memorabilia souvenir or toy.
Specifics:
Corgi’s famous model vehicles captured the imagination of millions of baby boomers and, what were once simply toys for boys, are highly sought-after in the expanding collectables market.
