The 2nd record from the transmutational band kicks off with pedal steel, bar room piano, and emotionally direct lyrics that take the listener along the hero’s journey, from the abyss all the way through atonement. Recorded and mixed by a cast of vets including Matt Barrick ( The Walkmen, Muzz) and NYC Punk icon Sasha Stroud, the album ups the ante on the Dark Tea sound. Lush production, expanded arrangements and at the record’s core, ring leader Gary Canino’s raw and expansive songwriting. ‘Dark Tea’ is a dusty exploration of the internal backed by your favorite rock and roll band capturing the wavering perception of time and the impermanence of love.
