Working as a reporter and political correspondent out of Belfast for over three decades, he covered every aspect of Northern Ireland’s Troubles, interviewing figures including Nelson Mandela, Margaret Thatcher, Bill Clinton, John Major, Tony Blair, Mother Theresa, Bertie Ahern and Charles Haughey.
