The Glasgow Functional Programming Group is the largest research centre of its kind in the UK, and its work has attained international recognition. This volume contains papers presented at the seventh workshop, which was held in Ayr, Scotland, from 12-14 September 1994. The papers include new research results, ranging from theoretical work in bisimilarity and computer algebra to practical work on a cervical smear scanning system written in a purely functional language.
