This course-tested textbook conveys the fundamentals of magnetic fields and relativistic plasma in diffuse cosmic media, with a primary focus on phenomena that have been observed at different wavelengths. Author Biography
Dr. Ulrich Klein is Professor for Astronomy at the Argelander-Institut für Astronomie, Universität Bonn. His research interest are in dark matter in galaxies, dwarf galaxies, synchrotron radiation from, and magnetic fields in, dwarf galaxies, relativistic plasma in clusters of galaxies, interstellar medium of dwarf galaxies.
Dr. Andrew Fletcher is Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at Newcastle University. His research interests are in astrophysical fluid dynamics, the interstellar medium, cosmic magnetic fields, cosmic rays, radio astronomy.
