Tie end regular classics from GHS.
The three plain strings are made of Du Pont Tynex monofilament, and the wound strings are made of a nylon strand core over which is wrapped a silvered copper cover wire. All replacement strings are high tension and tie-end with basses that provide a brighter tone.
GHS knows that you want your strings to be as fresh as the day they were made. All GHS facilities are environmentally regulated to control temperatures and humidity. Coiled strings are placed in string packets that, in independent laboratory tests, have proven to offer the optimum protection from humidity.
GHS began manufacturing guitar strings in 1964. The name of the company is the initials of the original founders. Gould, Holcomb and Solko. The company was purchased in 1975 by labor attorney/entrepreneur Robert McFee. Robert McFee is the Chairman of the Board of the still family owned company. The company, based in Michigan, USA employs over 100 very talented people. All of the manufacturing of strings is done in Michigan.
