Author Biography
Gaynell Payne grew up in a small Louisiana town at the tip of the Mississippi River. She has fond memories of trawling for shrimp and fishing with her dad and brothers as a young child. She is given to daydreams and has a flair for the dramatic. While this may sound bad on a report card, it is essential for a writer’s imagination. It is also said to make life in general more enjoyable. Gaynell now resides in Nashville, Tenessee with her six year old son. While she enjoys the “down home” southern culture of the Southeast, she is proud of her Cajun heritage and incorporates it into a lot of her fictional work.
