Author Biography
The late Deirdre Flanagan was editor of the Bulletin of the Ulster Place-name Society and one of Ireland’s leading authorities on place-names. She was senior lecturer in Celtic at Queen’s University Belfast at the time of her death. The late Laurence Flanagan was Keeper of Antiquities at the Ulster Museum. Among his books are Ireland’s Armada Legacy, A Dictionary of Irish Archaeology, and Favourite Irish Names for Children. He died in 2001.
