In this addition to the acclaimed Old Testament Library, Brevard Childs writes on what is arguably the Old Testament’s most important theological book. Childs furnishes a fresh translation from the original Hebrew and discusses questions of text, philology, historical background, and literary architecture. He then proceeds with a critically informed, theological interpretation of the text. The result is a creative interpretation of Isaiah by one of the world’s most widely respected interpreters.
