Italeri: 1/24 Mercedes Benz SK 1844 LS V8 Tractor Head – Model Kit
The SK series is a lineup of trucks that Mercedes Benz started producing in 1989. SK means “Schweer Klasse” (heavy class). This model was improved based on the NG series, which had been Benz’s main truck until then; it was characterized by enhancing the driver’s comfort, especially by enhancing the electronic support equipment. The engine was based on the OM44X series, which was also used in the NG series. Initially, a naturally aspirated type was prepared, and starting in 1992, a V-type six-cylinder and V-type eight-cylinder 15.1-liter diesel engine equipped with a turbocharger that meets the environmental standard of Euro 1 was prepared. It took over the position of the Actors series announced in 1996 and was highly evaluated all over the world until production was discontinued in 1998.
This model kit from Italeri features full detail, from the engine to the chassis and the cabin interior. The interior details include seats and a dashboard; the cab-over-type cabin can be tilted forward after completion. The powerful V8 engine with a turbocharger is reproduced in high detail, including accessories. The chassis frame, drive train and suspension are also highly detailed. Combine it with any of Italeri’s 1/24-scale trailers for the complete package!
