The complex and fascinating subject of endocrinology can often seem rather daunting for non-specialists. About the Author Now a freelance toxicology consultant, David Woodman began his research career investigating the endocrine and physiological sequalae of stress in socially deviant populations. This initial interest in endocrinology and hormones led to many years in the pharmaceutical industry, where the author gained practical experience and expert knowledge in toxicology and drug safety with SmithKline Beecham.
