One afternoon, curious young Alice follows a scurrying white rabbit in a waistcoat down his burrow and into Wonderland, where she meets an array of anthropomorphic creatures who defy logic and reason.

On the front, Alice appears at the head of the table, her glittery pink chair rising up in die-cut applique detail. Mad Hatter pours the tea, and the March Hare joins in at the table. Teacups, teapots, and saucers are lined up along the tablecloth, and an unbirthday cake, with a lighted candle, awaits. An applique of White Rabbit runs across the table with his pocket watch. In fact, a mechanism allows you to make him slide back and forth! The sleepy Dormouse floats above with an umbrella, and Cheshire Cat perches on Alice’s chair. Above them, colorful paper lanterns hang, forming a motif over the top of the backpack. The black background makes the colors pop, and pink trim adds a complementary hue. Behind the die-cut edges of the scene, there’s a hidden drop pocket, where you can slip smaller items for your journeys. On one side pocket, you’ll find a teapot, cookies on a plate, and a slice of cake on a blue cake stand. On the other side, there’s a delightful teapot with three spouts pouring tea into cups.
