This collection of recordings, made between 1968–1976, culls rage and strange mixes that are relatively obscure prior to this album s 1989 release. For Al Green, this is left field. Al s classic, Willie Mitchell-produced sound is perfectly intact here and all the sounds are instantly recognizable, but some of the styles might sound a bit different.
