This is not a self-help book. This is a story about healing, self-acceptance and overcoming adversity. It’s not always pretty and that’s how it’s supposed to be, so that we can grow and understand who we are, and what we truly need in our lives.
It’s also a story about learning to understand damaged people, finding forgiveness and rising above the prejudices of others.
Follow Saffire’s journey as she navigates love, loss, relationships, coming out, music and growing up in a troubled neighbourhood, alongside being diagnosed with Complex PTSD in the midst of a pandemic.
Author Biography
Saffire-Rose Fletcher was born on the Central Coast of Australia in 1986. She embarked on her journey as a singer-songwriter in 2013, turning her poems into songs and combining this with piano. She studied Audio Engineering & Sound Production, then further developed her skills through the Open Mic Night scene, using this as her training ground in music. In 2015 Saffire moved to Melbourne, the musical capital of Australia, to pursue her dream of becoming an established and successful singer-songwriter. Since then, Saffire has played over 250 gigs, recorded countless demos, directed and filmed her own music videos, and has varied her musical genres by exploring the rock scene with her band ‘SAFFIRE’ in early 2018. It wasn’t until late 2018 that Saffire discovered her true sound, which resembles EDM qualities. Saffire’s intention through her music is to address topics that are overlooked in society, primarily in the realm of combating adversity, self development, grief, forgiveness and, most of all, self-love. She has since become a qualified counsellor.
