The Grin Doll joins Kotobukiya’s “Megalomaria Unlimited Universe” action-figure model-kit lineup!
The Grin Doll was designed for those who want a villain to combat their hero figures, and it can handle anything from comical to serious roles. The head, armored arms, and its three weapons are all newly designed!
Head:
The mask design has an evil smile, which is why it’s called Grin Doll. The mouth can be assembled with or without detailed teeth, and the characteristic long nose can be removed to greatly change the character’s personality! It’s also compatible with many of the facial parts and bangs from the “Sosai Shojo Teien” series!
Weapons:
Three types of weapons are included: a club, an axe, and a hatchet. When multiple figures are lined up, the weapon can be changed depending on the character’s personality. The axe and hatchet can also be attached to various hard points with the included 3mm joints.
Movable gimmick:
This figure sports approximately 50 points of articulation throughout the body for outstanding posability! The marionette-style body is designed to be compatible with a wide range of poses, from comical to serious, and the knee joints are single-jointed yet bend deeply enough to allow for kneeling poses. The shoulders are made of multiple joints, so they can be pulled forward and the arms crossed. The range of motion in the shoulders is extremely effective for a variety of poses, including full-body flashy action and holding a sword with both hands. The torso also has an excellent range of motion, allowing for lying-down poses. The neck can be moved forward, backward, left and right, which allows for poses with the head turned away. The left and right hip joints are independent, and the structure allows for large forward movement, allowing for “flexibility exercise” poses; the legs can be opened wide to the left and right, so a wide range of action is possible, from high kicks to compact sitting poses The buttock armor is also available in a one-piece version.
