Author Biography
Lynn Herkes is a retired aerospace engineer, retired dressage trainer, retired scuba instructor, marketing professional and business consultant. She and her husband, Robert Herkes, were inspired to develop a series of children’s books after raising Niele and witnessing his curiosity for anything and everything that crossed his path. Niele is Lynn’s first pug and his surprising curiosity of the world around him is not only endearing but also comical. His curious and compassionate nature charms and captivates everyone who meets him. With this overwhelming reaction, Lynn and Bob sought to bring Niele’s world to others-his lovable nature shines through in these adorable books. Robert Herkes is a retired hotelier, avid paddler and waterman, and photographer. He and his wife, Lynn Herkes, were inspired to develop a series of children’s books after raising Niele and witnessing his curiosity for anything and everything that crossed his path. Niele is Bob’s second pug. Kamuela was Bob’s first-his childhood companion. In addition, Bob insisted on bringing Niele home so Lynn could experience the pug personality for herself. However, Bob and Lynn have found that Niele’s surprising curiosity of the world around him is not only endearing but also comical and Bob found himself constantly taking photographs of the pup’s antics and expressions. His curious and compassionate nature charms and captivates everyone who meets him.
