Perth Native Charlie Bucket drops his second EP “One Life”. It is a melting pot of sounds and influences featuring guest appearances from all over the globe such as Slimkid3 (The Pharcyde), Detroit natives Guilty Simpson & Boog Brown, UK artist TY, Raashan Ahmad (Crown City Rockers), Ghanaian MC Blitz The Ambassador and Australia’s NFA Jones (1200 Techniques). Fusing together the sounds of Afrobeat, Samba, Jazz, Soul and Funk “One Life” presents a more organic approach to Hip Hop in 2016.
With over 15 years DJ experience, Charlie Bucket has become synonymous with eclectic taste and selection, as well as his impressive turntablist skills and dancefloor rocking sets across Perth. Charlie has supported many artists including Roy Ayers, George Clinton, Mos Def, Common, MF Doom, KRS One, Aloe Blacc, Erykah Badu plus more.
Charlie currently holds over 7 residencies including The Manor in Perth which he has played at for over 10 years. No stranger to radio, Charlie Bucket hosts 2 radio shows Global Rhythm Pot and El Ritmo on RTR FM. In 2014 Charlie released his first EP “The Honesty”, with the first single “Dynamite” feat. NFA Jones & Nick Sheppard (The Clash) receiving regular rotation on Triple J in Australia.
