Unlike fabrics for common application parachute canopy fabric not only requires possessing the general fabric characteristics but also has to satisfy some extremely critical requirements which may be of secondary importance for normal usage. The functional properties of parachute fabric have to be governed by very rigid specifications, of the canopy fabric. Various parameters involved in weaving and processing of parachute fabric has a great influence on fundamental properties of parachute fabric.
