Author Biography

Renowned Egyptian parasitologist Professor Azza Fahmy has a wealth of experience in the management of parasitic diseases. Currently serving as a professor at the Theodore Bilharz Research Institute, she possesses a PhD in Comparative Physiology and is heavily involved in parasitology-related research and teaching efforts. Her work has produced significant advancements in the development of medicinal substances that have shown promise in both clinical and laboratory settings. Professor Fahmy’s work also includes pioneering diagnostic methods, such as antigen-based ELISAs, which may identify a variety of parasite infections. In addition to her research and teaching roles, Professor Fahmy actively reviews scientific publications for numerous prestigious journals, ensuring the quality and integrity of research in medical parasitology. She has enriched her academic career with extensive training in molecular diagnostics, immunology of infectious diseases, and advanced parasitological techniques.
