He is author of The Ultimate Guitar Book and the recent Backbeat title, Six Decades of the Fender Telecaster, co-author of several volumes in the popular “Guitar Profiles” series, and editor of Echo and Twang: Classic Guitar Music of the ’50s and Fuzz & Feedback: Classic Guitar Music of the ’60s. Bacon served as an advisor to the BBC/Tribute TV documentary “Guitar Legends.”
