At the height of a freak storm a 911 caller reports a murder at the Ambrough Arms, NYC’s new high-rise sliver. Chief of Detectives Darrel Randsome, aware that his estranged daughter resides in the Ambrough Arms, hurries to reach the scene. His progress is hampered by streets awash with filthy water, the result of a month-long sanitation workers’ strike, that has plugged storm sewer drains with garbage. Randsome and four Crime Scene Unit detectives find more suspects than they bargained for in the high-rise sliver.
