Author Biography

Bjarne Riis is a Danish former professional road cyclist and winner of the 1996 Tour de France. He is now the team owner and manager of Danish UCI ProTour squad Team Saxo Bank and has managed riders to wins in the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. He remains an influential figure in the cycling world.
