Maureen C. Berry has worked in the food industry since 1989 as a restauranteur, sales representative, and commodity seafood buyer. She has written for Edible Orlando magazine and blogs at Conservation: tackling sustainable news (formerly Seafood Lady). She attends the annual Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Sustainable Foods Institute, collaborates with Marine Stewardship Council, The Sustainable Seafood Blog Project, Fish 2.0, and American Shrimp Processors Association. She believes that our choices make a difference and that what we do on land has a direct effect on our oceans and planet. Maureen lives in Kentucky with her husband and their feisty wire fox terrier.
