Author Biography
Karin Kukkonen is Balzan Postdoctoral Research Fellow atSt John s College, University of Oxford, UK. Her researchfocuses on the emergence and development of comics as a narrativeform during the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Dr Kukkonenhas published work on metaphors, metafiction, and multi-perspectivestorytelling in comics. Her recent monograph, ContemporaryComics Storytelling (2013) examines how the comics of recentyears engage with the legacy of postmodernism.
