Betsy Paul never had any problems expressing herself…at least in letters that were never sent to the recipient. For years she has written a weekly letter in response to something that happened to her during the week, only to lock them away in her closet.When she enters her junior year of high school she starts to realize that if she wants to have any control in her life writing letters won’t be enough. Her best friend, Lisa, is pushing Betsy away, while struggling with her parent’s divorce. Danny, her ex-childhood friend, is driving her crazy. So crazy she can’t stop thinking about him, and finds herself forgetting his betrayal from years ago. But the idea of trusting him with her heart feels impossible, except when writing one of her letters. She begins to wonder if maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad thing if some of those letters were sent.Betsy decides that some things are too great to risk losing, and starts acting on the things she had written in past letters. She soon discovers that some wrongs are harder to right than others, every family is at risk of being broken, and listening to her heart will test her in ways she never imagined.
