Bolt Action Painting Competition- Be in to win up to $200 of Prizes!

We're pleased to announce our first painting competition of 2018 and this time the theme is Bolt Action!

So let's take a look at how you can take part in this great hobby event and be in to win a share of up to $200 worth of prizes…

The Categories:

  • Bolt Action Vehicle

Entries may consist of a single World War 2 era vehicle in 1/56th (28mm) scale. 1/48th or other scale models are not eligible.

  • Bolt Action Infantry Squad or Artillery Team

Entries may consist of a single infantry squad , HQ, weapons or artillery team in 1/56th (28mm) scale.

Miniatures do not have to be from the Warlord Games Bolt Action range to be eligible, however they must be the appropriate scale (28mm) and be a legal unit choice in the Bolt Action rules.

To enter, simply message us with no more than 2 photos of the completed work on the Mighty Ape Hobbies Facebook page.

Entries will be judged by Mighty Ape Hobbies and a panel of guest judges to select the overall winner for each category.

The winner in each category will receive their choice of Bolt Action products up to the value of $100 at RRP.

The Competition Rules:

  1. The competition is open to New Zealand and Australian residents who have “liked” the Mighty Ape Hobbies Facebook page
  2. Each participant can submit up to 3 entries for each category. Enter by messaging a maximum of two photo of the completed work to Mighty Ape Hobbies. A photo which collates more than one image will be considered equivalent to the total number of images depicted.
  3. Entries will be uploaded to the Competition Album and also posted to the Hobbies Blog. Photos will be tagged with the name of the entrant. Entries must be the work of the participant and we reserve the right to disqualify suspect entries. Miniatures which have been entered in previous Mighty Ape painting competitions are not eligible.
  4. Entries will close on the 31st March 2018. Once judging is complete the winners will be announced on the 20th April 2018.
  5. The judge's decision on the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or credit.
  7. The organisers of the competition reserve the right to change the rules of the competition at any time if they feel it is necessary.
