Ken de Koning is the pastor of Waldron Road Baptist Church and is the founder and president of DE KONING MINISTRIES (a non-profit organization that reaches people for Christ and builds unity in the Body). He encourages everyone he meets through his passion for God and his love for people. Ken was born in Suriname, where at age seventeen he was voted Sportsman of the Year as the country's number one tennis player. He was a member of the Davis Cup Squad of the Netherlands in 1969, and proceeded to enjoy a successful career in tennis. Ken was also sought out by national champions of eleven different countries for coaching. As a club pro he has developed winning tennis players for top level competition and college scholarships Ken and Sibyl were married in 1973, after meeting as students at the University of Corpus Christi. They have three grown children, Joshua, Nathaniel, and Micah, and ten grandchildren. Together, Ken and Sibyl de Koning have been ministering to couples for over thirty years.
