My class of Yr 4–8’s love this game. They enjoy the challenge of beating the bosses and the abilities that each player has. They need to work as a team to ultimately win and once they have a grasp of the rules, playing with the timer app adds suspense and panic which adds to the fun! Totally recommend!

This is a really fun game that gets really on edge! It's actually harder with just 2 players.

The free timer app alone is worth this game. It's quite funny. This game gets messy (cards every where) and I think cheating a bit with time is necessary if playing with younger players.

Simple and easy to play, my 8 year old loves playing with me, mum. A challenge to get to the last boss, we have been close many times! Though, it can be a little disappointing for seasoned card players with its simplicity and lack of planning, strategy and depth. The monster cards are pretty cool, touch of humour to appreciate when you are not smashing them with swords and arrows.

Fast-paced, hectic, exciting fun. This game is very simple to learn and great fun to play. The players throw cards at monsters until they die of it, then move on to the next one – if you run out of time everybody dies!

Some of the group were apprehensive at first, but it turned out really great fun for everyone.

This game is so fun! I love being able to switch up the competitiveness and play a high paced co-op!

This is an amazing cooperative game that you can play super quickly with friends. It is hard to find cooperative games in the market and this excels at that. Good: Fast paced, super fun and comes with an app you can download in your phone. Props are of really good quality. Bad: playing for two requires a tad of effort. You are limited to rogue, valkirye and wizard heroes and you still have a challenge. Maybe homebrewing and mixing cards with some of the ranger ones could work, but be advice that the real fun is with 4 people or 5.

Easy to learn, lots of fun

This is a great game, our kids are 8 and 10 and found it very easy to learn and play as a family. Lots of fun and super fast as well.

Quick to teach and pick-up. Easy for kids to learn too (just ask them to match colours and symbols). Good for filling in time between longer games. Replay-ability is low if you're playing it as a standalone game.

A really great way to kill some time while waiting for that one player who is running behind, as including setup and packdown you can easily have a round in under 15 min.

The issue is that within a week of owning it, and playing it for a couple of hours we have not gone back to it, in like 7 months. The game is fun, but once you have a handle on it there is no challenge.

It just does not have a high enough skill ceiling, I would love to see an expansion with some harder villains or complicated mechanics. In its current form, 5MD is easy to learn, and far too easy to master.
