I have been using these for a few weeks to chop parsley and they are very fun. I would hesitate to use them for all herbs. I find that the dense parsley regularly gets stuck in the blades, and there is more wastage while getting the pieces out again than you would fins with a knife or 2-blade scissors. However I have only used them with the parsley, and I can only imagine that they are perfect for chives and would be well suited as a gift. I recommend them.
