“Elvis On Tour (1972)” is a vital link for people that are only experiencing Elvis since his passing. It links the earlier “Singer (Comeback) Special (1968)” and “Elvis: That's the way it is (1970)” to the later “Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite (1973)” and “Elvis in Concert (1977)”. “Elvis On Tour” showcases an entertainer that loves what he does and a public that can't get enough. One of the editors is ‘Memphis Mafia’ member Jerry Schilling and this may account for the ‘insider’ feel that is an important part of “Elvis On Tour”.
