If you watched, and liked, the TV series with Kevin Sorbo then this will appeal. It has the same sort of jokes, similar sets and costumes. I worked on the series, and watching this was nostalgic.
It also has the same sort of humour that was in The Scorpion King with The Rock.
It doesn't pretend to be some intellectual retelling of Hercules, it's definitely a light hearted easy watch – something for when you want some escapism.
