Most humans do not know that every person is one of three doppel liners, three people who share the same fate, and there are god-like beings, the Tera Guardians, that protect the natural balance of power in the world. However, Keita Ibuki, a videogame programmer from Tokyo, is suddenly drawn into the intrigues of these powerful beings during a chance encounter with a girl named Kuro.
Wending his way home Keita decides to satisfy a craving for ramen at a noodle stand. Instead of slurping soup, though, he surrenders his meal to a manic girl, Kuro. When his new acquaintance is attacked, Keita gets caught in the crossfire and loses an arm. Awakening from the shock, Keita finds himself back in his apartment, arm intact! But just whose arm is it?!
He soon discovers that Kuro is a young Tera Guardian of the Coexistence Equilibrium, and she makes a contract with Keita in order to save his life.
