The kids love it! Very clever in how it is written. Some may think that it's a little scary but my 3 year old has had no problem with it – and we don't read scary books.

I love this book, it is such an awesome read. As I find this book a great read I do read it often to my little one. It does make reading fun when the parents enjoy reading the book themselves.

Description

A clever mouse outsmarts his predators by telling them his good friend the gruffalo – “a creature with terrible claws, and terrible tusks in his terrible jaws” – will eat them. When the imaginary monster actually appears, the mouse manages to outsmart him as well. This humorous, rhyming story is complemented by charming watercolor illustrations.
