The United States Of Leland
A quiet suburban community is stunned when 15 year-old Leland (Ryan Gosling) commits a chilling crime and is sent to a juvenile detention centre. Here he meets Pearl (Don Cheadle), a teacher and aspiring writer who dives into Leland's disturbing and troubled past and dreams of turning his compelling story into a book.
Tables soon turn when Leland forces Pearl to examine his own behaviour and what results is a shocking collision of violence, understanding and hope.
