Zoo Yoga 2016 Wall Calendar

In 1896, elephants at the New Delhi Zoo were observed practicing rudimentary yoga poses within their enclosures. Their astounded keepers encouraged this remarkable behaviour and before long the pachyderms were demonstrating up to seven distinct postures. At the turn of the century several of these elephants were shipped on loan to zoos in the West. Zoo animals throughout the U.S. and Europe quickly noted and mimicked the elephants behaviour and the rest, as they say, is history. Today nearly every animal in the zoo is a yoga enthusiast! The large format wall calendar includes six bonus months of July through December 2015; large grids with ample room for jotting notes; moon phases; U.S. and international holidays.
