Description

Yzabeth Anderson-Nichols grew up hearing her father Zorro Anderson's many fantastical stories - among them the tales of a legendary correspondence with his childhood pen pal Fenn Crispus-Wellsby. After Zorro's passing, Yzabeth mails a letter to Fenn and receives an unexpected response that opens doors to new mysteries, friendships and discoveries from the California shoreline to the Connecticut swamp - as the strange case of a vanished family could unearth secrets from everyone's past.

Author Biography:

Carl Schroeder, a Minneapolis-based writer and composer, is a 2005 graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he earned a degree in music composition. Further adventures in the Fenn and Zorro series may be forthcoming. Schroeder's other projects include more than 60 musical works for concert band, orchestra and solo piano - including a solo piano suite inspired by the novella "A Letter from Yzabeth" - and a book of short personal essays, "Carl Confessions: A Collection of Incriminating, Embarrassing and Completely True Short Stories." Since 2015 he has been the Minnesota Orchestra's publications editor. His website is at carlschroeder.com.
