So you are out for a walk, or in your garden, and you want to identify an insect. This book will do the job. It's very compact, has great photo's and is easy to read. Now, it's not an encyclopaedia, so don't expect one. Also, it's an insect book, it covers insects (ie six legs), so don't expect any spiders or critters with more than six legs. One small but useful feature is that it tells you exactly which insects are native.

Handy little book that helps identify bugs. Very useful to find out what the garden bugs are (and then google how to kill them! lol)

Handy size for amateur identifier; ideal for children. Not huge amount of information but nice clear pictures and presentation.
Great little pocket book with lots of information.
