Wartime schooldays, Air Training Corps cadet, RAF Boy Entrant to full time RAF service, a majority of it featuring overseas travel. Exciting enough in itself, but then followed a long period in Offshore oil exploration. Naturally, such diverse pursuits almost guaranteed one a life of adventure, and of the ceaseless world travel to which this book relates. A nostalgic, tongue-in-cheek story of 50's/60's service life, and of the big wide world which lay in wait beyond. A far different world to that which we have since created for ourselves; the good and the bad.

Author Biography:

After schooling in wartime Britain, David served two years in Engineering followed by twelve years in the Royal Air Force, which is where he began to travel the world. He then emigrated to the USA and worked in the Oil Industry with Offshore Navigation Inc out of New Orleans for over 25 years. This took him to many more countries around the globe, before retiring to his native Yorkshire, in the UK. During this lifetime of adventure he has visited almost 100 countries and flown in around 196 types of aircraft.
