I'm Colette Orr, founder of Orr Novels. Writing is undoubtedly one of my favorite pastimes. I never started writing because I wanted to sell a lot of books or become famous. I did it simply because I loved it. Of course I want people to buy my books, but whenever sales are low, I always go back to my original purpose, do it because you love it. If I never sell another book, I can honestly say I am content. This journey has far exceeded what I ever thought that it would be. For that, I thank God and I thank you, my loyal readers. My third book, A Will To Live, totally took me out of my comfort zone. It was exciting and thrilling to write and I hope it is equally exciting and thrilling to read. This is a topic that touches my core, because I wanted to address children who grew up in abusive homes. I wanted to tell the story from a child's point of view, but I didn't want to just write a book, I wanted to do more. For that reason, I'm committing to give a portion of this book's proceeds to organizations who help abused children. It is my way of saying, you're not forgotten.
