Aliens: Colonial Marines reviews

This game was a disapointment. It lacks in quite a few areas and the good points cannot out-weigh the bad.

It is not impressive graphically and gearbox completely mislead the public with the demo they showed. It has poor hit recognition on targets, the story is short and the multiplayer is almost dead already and doesnt even have a leaderboard system.

I mildly enjoyed simply because its in the ‘Alien’ franchiese but to be honest i enjoyed the alien vs predator game that came out a few years ago a lot more.

I got suckered in to pre-order based on preview videos etc but felt like id been totally suckered after about 10minutes of playing.

To be honest, I had watched the trailers and been given the low down by friends about how terrible this game was. I decided to give it a shot, being a Aliens franchise fan. If im honest its pretty good. Yeah its not as good as it could be (but which games are) but it doesnt deserve half the critisim it gets. Cant say that the replay value of it is too high seeing as I was praying for the end to the story towards the end but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Who doesnt love unleashing hundreds of rounds at some of the creepiest Aliens around-!

Theres alot of negative comments here about visual quality. But hey its 12 bucks.

“Aliens” is a classic 80's sci-fi epic action film, one of the best. A game that uses this movie as the basis for its plot should be amazing. Unfortunately, the makers of this game didn't care enough to create a game half as good as the movie. The character animation is appalling and the game play is boring and repetitive. Its a shame, as I said should have been great. But thanks Mighty Ape, I picked it up for $8, thats all this game is worth.

A brillialy crafted game that fits into the franchise well.

There is nothing like shooting Aliens
