I'd have to disagree with the previous review in some cases as the games does definatetly show up to date graphics. Although the game lacks some detail it appears to have been created using the 3rd Unreal Engine (as seen in Gears of War 2 and Bioshock 2).

Lighting and textures are every bit as realistic as any other current game, the only issues i have with appearance would be that some surfaces react in the exact same way others do (for example striking steel walls and certain windows will both result in sparks instead of the window cracking) and some smaller objects that are subject to the engines physics, lack alot of detail (a helmet that will fall to the ground when knocked will have much less detail in order for the game to enable it to do so and still run consistently).

Otherwise the graphics are great!

Anyone with a passion for action and Sci-fi will definatley have to buy this. The abilities given to the Alien and Predator characters are very cinematic and spine-tinglingly satifying to use while the Colonial Marine gives the player a unique perspective such as those in the films. Some of the functions however (such as stealth attacks) are unfortunately limited by your orientation, being on the ground maximises the avaliability of attacks, which sometimes means that in order to fight effectively (unlike the films) you have to give up your awesome hidey-hole or perch.

'Haven't played the multiplayer yet but I am anticipating a enjoyable result.

In short I would highly recomend this game to anyone interested in the films and the ability to create fluent, awesome (and gorey, if thats your thing) action sequences.

A definate must buy!

"Lives up to the movie titles"
4 stars"

This game, although lacking ground-breaking material, is a great weekend game and lives up to the hype of the movie series. There are definitely some very scary moments while playing the game and the option of playing all three species [Alien, Predator and human] is a great idea! 4 stars
