I'm so glad this came out just before lockdown. It's really good for destressing. It's sweet, peaceful, and let's you zone out doing mundane but somehow fun and addictive little chores to grow an island community.

My whole family are playing this game. All the time. They are visiting each others islands, buying turnips – I've always wanted a little turnip of my own – and playing some sort of reality TV vote-off with the villagers.

And I'm just here browsing Reddit.

Never played an AC game before yesterday, the only nintendo game I've played before was mario kart, and usually play games like the dark souls series, resident evil, and devil may cry so I was unsure if I would be able to get invested … It is addictive, wholesome, relaxing, and aesthetically pleasing. I really like it so if it isnt a game you'd usually be interested in I'd still reccomend testing it out!

I am adoring this game and I am kicking myself for not getting it sooner, haha. :) can’t wait to play more.

Should get it if you want a nice chill game. :)

Animal crossing offers an escape out of all the chaos going on in the world.

Pretty much all you do in this game, is hit rocks, hit trees, pick up weeds, water plants, talk to animals, decorate your house and get into debt repeatedly. And yet, I cant stop playing it… Basically crappy things in real life, are now fun, well done Nintendo… Well done…

Honestly, if you don’t like calm games where you complete side quests, grow flowers and make friends, this game wasn’t made for you. This is the first animal crossing title I’ve played and I love it. It’s convenient that it launched on lockdown so I could wile hours into it, and it is beautiful, cute, and calming to play

Having been an avid gamer for many years, but also getting on in years, I really wanted a game that would not send my blood pressure soaring! The simple pleasures of picking weeds and fruit as well as designing your own island is just the ticket to relax! The only thing that makes my blood pressure go up is the odd tarantula!! This game has given me hours of fun!! I can't recommend it enough! :)))

I bought this because so many people I know play it and enjoy it, but I found it really boring. It's more like a chore than entertainment. Sorry to those who like it but I was really disappointed. I'd rather play Stardew Valley

Sounds get annoying for parents but kids loving this game

Very fun to play, especially with a friend. There's a decent amount to do to keep you occupied and enough mindless things to keep you entertained, but my main complaint is not enough rocks.

The overall story is short but nice. The game can also get very repetitive. However is it super fun to create your island, decorate it, and change it to your liking.

Great to play in short bursts or for long hours. Without noticing it I've logged over 100 hours since I got it at launch. Yea, there are some improvements to be made especially with online play. Aside from that, it's a relaxing game. Note that it's slow-paced and played in real-time! Avoid if you dislike this.

I’ve spent 140 hours on this game already and I just love it. There are certain things that I would like them to improve (like the terraforming gets a bit frustrating and placements of bridges etc) but nothing to really complain about. I love it, so worth the wait.

1st time AC player, the wife is a 2nd-time player. We both love ACNH. We've been playing every day since release. Always something new to do and discover. No Time Traveling even needed. :D Perfect timing with the stay at home lockdown right now.
