The United States Delegation to this Committee is appointed by our Secretary of State, and Japan's Delegation by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Delegations advise their respective governments on the scope, directionand other broad aspects of the Program, and develop review procedures to assure fulfillment of the purposes for which the Program was established. Jointly the United States and Japanese Delegations have designated the six areas of research which fall within the scope of the overall Program.
