Author Biography:

Louise D. (Gagn�) Jewell, grew up in a tiny village in rural Qu�bec. She began her writing and illustrating career at the age of fourteen as the editor and publisher of Just a Little, a community newspaper widely circulated in Edelweiss Valley, Wakefield, Qu�bec, in the summer of 1973. Louise's ancestors are French, Irish, and Algonquin. These three cultures honour the storytelling tradition, which she carries on. As a writer, artist, and retired clinical counsellor, Louise is passionate about sharing her message of hope through story, both written and in visual form.
